My Grandfather, KantiDada, on the Balcony

Quietly he sat on the balcony, reading papers of news all around the world and enjoying his fragrant cup of chai tea.  He always appeared to be able to live in the present moment.

He loved conversations with every individual who would come visit him on the porch. His mind was sharp and his nature so gentle.

He never saw the power he held within him. I ,however, did. He appreciated the way my grandmother held the family of their 6 children together. He saw his limits rather then his limitless potential.

He reminded me so much of my father. The exception being my dad was able to see the strength within him. They both loved with a gentle and quiet spirit leaving room for no doubts of their heart’s voice.

I learned much more from him then he would have ever realized. I knew how valuable those moments were. The conversations were so long ago, with my grandfather on the balcony, yet they remain alive today.
